Dear Ye Kung,
My name is Frank Lee. I am writing to you about something that’s severely detrimental to the health and well-being of Singapore citizens, psychiatry.
Doctors are scientists applying scientific knowledge of a certain thing to remedy ailments related to that thing. This generally takes the shape of scientific knowledge about a body part being used to diagnose and treat diseases of that body part.
As such, the most fundamental ground rule for doctors is that they must be able to prove the existence of that of which they are a doctor.
If you were to see a dermatologist, but the dermatologist were to be unable to prove to you that you have skin, I assume you would get up and leave, because such a person is not a doctor.
If you were to be about to receive a heart transplant, but your cardiovascular surgeon were to be unable to prove to you that you have a heart, I assume you would not let that person operate on you, because such a person is not a doctor.
Psychiatrists claim to be doctors of a human “mind” that they’ve linked to the human brain, which is the area of neurologists. However, no proof for the existence of a human “mind” exists, and as such, psychiatrists are not doctors.
Psychiatry claims to be a form of medicine treating diseases and disorders of a human “mind”, but because it is unable to even prove the existence of this “mind” it claims exists, it is entirely unscientific and not a form of medicine.
Worse, psychiatrists alter the real brains of human beings, which is the area of neurology, without so much as a single piece of evidence that there is anything wrong with those brains, all in the belief that this cures / manages diseases and disorders of some “mind”.
In the worst cases, psychiatrists do this against the will of their victims, by locking them up in a facility, restraining them to beds, and injecting the brain-altering drugs into them by force. This is involuntary brain alteration. In order to avoid scrutiny, psychiatrists tell lies to the world that these people are incapable of making their own decisions, and that this needs to be done for everyone’s protection.
Singaporeans have the right to refuse healthcare, such as life-saving cancer treatment and surgeries, but they don’t have the right to refuse brain-alteration by non-neurologists who claim it cures / manages diseases and disorders of a “mind”?
I was personally locked up in the Institute of Mental Health three times for eight weeks total. When I refused to take brain-altering drugs, because there wasn’t any evidence that there was anything wrong with my brain, I was tortured until I relented.
On November 25th 2024, while I was completely non-violent, around twenty IMH nurses cornered me, physically overpowered me, restrained me to a bed, raped psychiatric drugs into me, and left me restrained to the bed for the entire afternoon.
The next day on November 26th 2024, around 10-15 nurses did the same thing to me. They cornered non-violent me, physically overpowered me, restrained me to a bed, raped psychiatric drugs into me, and this time left me restrained for 18 hours until the next morning. I was unable to sleep due to the restraints, which made it sleep deprivation, which is torture under the United Nations Convention Against Torture and the Geneva Conventions.
Then on November 27th 2024, the psychiatrist in charge of me named Jiaqian Sun told me that IMH personnel would keep doing this to me until I relented and took psychiatric drugs orally.
This was torture with intent to make me swallow brain-altering psychiatric drugs, without so much as a single piece of evidence that there was anything wrong with my brain.
Although most victims locked up in psychiatric institutes play along and take the drugs without resisting, and some choose to hide the drugs under their tongues and spit them out in the toilet, like a Malay man named Akash whom I talked to in July / August 2024, the ones who resist are tortured until they take the drugs.
Furthermore, there is tremendous discourse on X right now, especially in the US, about the harm of psychiatric drugs such as SSRIs. This started in early May when Health Secretary Kennedy Jr. launched a federal initiative to stop the overprescribing of psychiatric drugs like SSRIs.
There are many people speaking out about the severe negative side-effects of these drugs, such as PSSD (Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction), Emotional Blunting, Suicidality, etc.
I am currently involved in a lawsuit against the Institute of Mental Health for everything that it has done to me. The torture I described in this letter is only one of countless things it’s done to me. It has destroyed me, my life, and my relationships. I will never be the same.
I’ve attempted to inform the Ministry of Health three times about my lawsuit and the severe harm psychiatry is causing to Singapore citizens. I first handed a letter with a 41-page affidavit attached to the MoH’s mail-room on March 18th.
I then served two employees of the MoH’s quality department court documents on April 14th. And I again talked to two employees of the MoH’s quality department (Jessica and Gutha) on June 2nd, and explained to them that I had been tortured and the victim of involuntary brain alteration. Both on April 14th and June 2nd I was told the MoH would respond to me via email, but I have yet to hear something back.

Ye Kung, I have not only had horrifying experiences at the hands of psychiatrists myself, I have seen many others had their most basic freedoms taken away and treated like they weren’t human.
It is not legal to lock someone up unless it has broken the law and been proven guilty during a fair trial, but psychiatry makes it legal to lock people up and subject them to involuntary brain alteration, based on THEORIES that these people will commit crimes in the future, based on the BELIEF that they have “minds” that can be diseased / disordered, which will cause them to commit crimes in the future.
Please, I beg you, take this matter seriously, look into it, and take action to protect Singaporeans from further harm.
